Import vehicle preparation report - 2015 Daihatsu Copen Cero LA400K Red (Part 2)
The inspection and maintenance of the 2015 Daihatsu Copen Cero LA400K (Red) has been completed. The inspection and maintenance were carried out at the inspection factory of our partner company, Wadachi, and we have received a detailed report.
Today, we will explain the maintenance items.
In Japan, there are detailed regulations regarding the "2-Year Inspection and Maintenance (60 items)" performed every two years, and the "1-Year Inspection and Maintenance (29 items)" performed annually. For vehicles acquired at auction, we perform the "2-Year Inspection and Maintenance" as a preventative measure. While this incurs costs, it is our policy to ensure that customers can drive with peace of mind after import.
The maintenance items performed on this vehicle included: engine oil and filter change, engine belts replacement, MTF change, brake fluid change, air cleaner replacement, air conditioning filter replacement, air conditioning refrigerant change, and wiper blade replacement.
The floor mats were in good condition, but for some reason, the passenger-side mat was missing, so we decided to replace it with a new set.
The car was fitted with optional BBS alloy wheels, but since they lacked locking nuts, we installed a set of locking nuts.
Regarding the navigation and audio system, the original system lacked an English display and smartphone connectivity, making it inconvenient. Therefore, we replaced it with a Bluetooth-enabled DSP amplifier to enable smartphone use.
Of course, we also conducted driving tests and active top operation tests.
Even if it's in like-new condition, it's still a 10-year-old used car, and its past history is unknown. We believe that thorough inspection and preventative maintenance contribute to safer driving after import and reduce costs by extending the vehicle's lifespan.
