Auction success report - 2015 Daihatsu Copen Cero LA400K Blue
I'm writing this blog post because we successfully won an auction today for a 2015 Daihatsu Copen Cero LA400K (blue). This vehicle was purchased as a base vehicle for our company's demo car.
This vehicle is 10 years old, has approximately 60,000 km (37,500 miles) on the odometer, and is in rather poor condition both inside and out. It was probably a daily-use vehicle that wasn't particularly loved. I'm looking forward to restoring it to its former glory!
The winning bid was about 30% lower than that of a vehicle in better condition. This means that a professional judged that the labour and parts costs required to restore the poorly conditioned interior and exterior to a marketable condition would be around that amount.
I compromised because a blue one came up this time.
Second-generation Copen manual transmission vehicles don't appear at auction very often. Especially because we're limiting ourselves to specific interior and exterior colours, there's only about one opportunity to bid every two to three weeks. I'm hoping to debut it at the April event, so the deadline is approaching.
Therefore, this vehicle will be transported to our partner, Wadachi Garage, for inspection.
Once the vehicle arrives, I will report on its terrible condition.
We also offer import services for JDM vehicles other than the Copen to the UK. We specialise in providing meticulous service tailored to your budget. If you have a budget in mind, please contact us using this form.
